It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Palmer, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Peter passed away peacefully on 25 October 2024, surrounded by family.

Born on 9 June 1943, Peter was a man of integrity, kindness, and resilience. He leaves a legacy marked by hard work and devotion to his family and community. Working in the police force for 30 years and since retirement being a champion for "Suffolk online" and heavily involved in community matters and the village hall.

Known for his warm smile, gentle humour and penchant for fixing things, Peter was someone who had the right tool (or two) to complete tasks and always offered a helping hand.

He is survived by his wife Diane, who will forever cherish his love, wisdom and laughter. His friends will remember him as a steadfast companion, always ready to listen and share a good story.

Though he has left this world, Peter’s spirit lives on in the lives he touched. His kindness, generosity, and strength will remain in our hearts forever. May he rest in peace. 

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
